MediaMessenger Pro^TM is a fully functional Digital Media Player board (with firmware/software) that can connect directly to the internet via on board Ethernet LAN port or can be operated stand alone. Content and control instructions are sent to the player at any time from any internet connected remote location. MediaMessenger Pro^TM will then play back the content per the instructions sent to it from the remote site. All of this functionality is achieved WITHOUT the cost of proprietary operating systems and expensive PC based hardware. The cost barrier to offering connected digital media players has been SIGNIFICANTLY lowered. The fully self contained unit includes support for various input devices including push buttons, membrane switches, bar code scanner, proximity sensor, and a touch screen. Essentially, any serial input device can be supported. All of this functionality is supported without having to add expensive controller boards and processors. MediaMessenger Pro^TM supports DVD navigation allowing for standard DVD content creation tools to be used for content creation. No need to purchase or use proprietary software.
